Asda – Community Life

Posted on February 3rd, 2012

Shoot the Company have been working with our old friends at Asda again this month, producing a film for the Yearly Board Meeting which tells the story of their Community Life initiative. Shot entirely on location at the Asda store in Southport which has been piloting the scheme, the film tells the story of General Store Manager, Bill Gornall and Community Life Champion, Sharon Gregory-Wareing and how they are making an enormous difference to the people of Southport. Not only are they helping local groups and charities by volunteering and fund-raising, but the actual Asda store is being offered up as a place to meet and run sessions for local groups so that it becomes a community hub. Asda Community Life will soon be in stores across the country, so look out for it next time you pop out for a pint a milk.

Posted on January 12th, 2012

Long-time Shoot the Company client DTZ were taken over by Australian property services firm UGL just before Christmas and we were brought in to make a quick turn-around film for internal use that told the story of the merger. We’ve also been busy producing a graduate film for DTZ as they continue to expand their workforce with some of the brightest young minds in business – with the new international opportunities provided by the takeover, these are exciting times to be starting a career at what is now the world’s third largest property services group.

Happy New Year!

Posted on January 9th, 2012

London is under starter’s orders for The Olympics later this year and 2012 has begun with a bang here at Shoot the Company with no fewer than nine films being shot in January alone. We’re looking forward to working with lots of our previous clients such as Serco, SABMiller, BITC and Sainsbury’s this year and to welcoming some new customers through our doors. It’s going to be a busy twelve months as we’ve also got the Shoot the Company fifth birthday party to squeeze in between The Queen’s Golden Jubilee and the start of The Olympics. We’d better pack the fridge with Babycham.

Calling all sixteen year olds!

Posted on November 25th, 2011

National Citizen Service is a Government backed nationwide scheme aimed at all sixteen year olds in the UK for a three week period over the summer. Shot on location across the country, this film focuses on the work of The Challenge, one of the schemes which is providing Year 11 pupils with the opportunity to learn leadership, management, communication and organisational skills that will benefit them in the real world. Shown at the 2011 Conservative Party conference, this powerful film tells the story of some of the 10,000 young adults who experienced the scheme this summer – and some even got to blindfold David Cameron in a field in the Lake District.

Now that’s what we call sticky!

Posted on October 3rd, 2011

We’ve been working with Hays Recruitment for most of 2011 and some incredibly interesting analytics have arisen since they started using film on their website. Please click on the logo above to view the Hays interactive recruitment game which has increased the average unique visit to their website from under a minute to eight minutes! That is what is known in the trade as a very sticky user experience and we’re currently in production with Hays on adding more films to their site later in the year to make it even stickier.
