Carte Noire – Man Cafe
Posted on September 22nd, 2011
The Carte Noire Man Cafe opened in London this week and Shoot the Company were there to capture the event on camera. The pop-up cafe appeared in the heart of the West End and gave customers the opportunity to choose their favourite coffee and be served by their ideal ‘man server’. Mr Confident, Mr Cool, Mr Romantic and Mr Continental were all on hand to provide the seductive coffee moments and Shoot the Company will now be travelling the UK this autumn as the pop-up cafe visits Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Bristol. Consider that a date ladies.
TFL – On yer bike!

The Transport for London, Barclays cycle hire scheme is revolutionising the way Londoner’s and tourists get around the capital and Shoot the Company are currently in production on a film to promote the use of this pioneering scheme. To get a real sense of what the streets of London are like on two wheels, we mounted three GoPro cameras on a bicycle and recorded footage as various people navigated through the streets. Since its launch in July 2010, over 6 million individual hires have taken place and the scheme will soon be expanded to cover 65km/sq of the capital. So whether you’re visiting London for the day or commuting to work, get on your bicycle clips and start pedalling.
Papadopoulos & Sons
Posted on July 27th, 2011
Never wanting to rest easy in our comfort zone here at Shoot the Company, we are currently in pre-production on our first feature film. Written by our old friend and Shoot the Company board member, Marcus Markou, Papadopoulos & Sons is a co-production with Double M films and tells the story of a wealthy, London-Greek businessman who loses everything and is forced to reopen his old chip shop with the help of his family, only to discover the true meaning of success. The film, which starts shooting in London on August 8th, stars BAFTA winning and Emmy-nominated Stephen Dillane in the lead role of Harry Papadopoulos and quite a few familiar Shoot the Company faces as workers in the taramasalata factory.
Miller Music Tour
Posted on July 7th, 2011

It’s Day One of the Miller Music Tour in New York City and here are Stephen and Nicky hard at work in their ‘edit suite with a view’ on the 25th floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in Times Square. Off to Miami tomorrow and then top-secret Destination X, before returning to NYC to round things off. The ice cold Miller is certainly helping us keep our cool – it’s a sweltering 95 degrees in New York at the moment. Mending Broken Hearts

We are currently in production on a film about the exciting new collaboration between Lloyds Pharmacy and The British Heart Foundation. Heart disease is the biggest killer of adults in the UK and Lloyds Pharmacy have made a two year commitment to raise funds for the Mending Broken Hearts appeal, which aims to fund groundbreaking scientific research that could begin to literally ‘mend broken hearts’ in as little as ten years time. ‘Healthcare For Life’ is the Lloyds Pharmacy mantra and they certainly seem to be living up to it with the announcement of this heart-warming collaboration.

Shoot the Company have been down on the farm recently, filming Olympic hopefuls William Fox-Pitt and Mary King as they prepared for the start of the HSBC FEI classics season at Badminton over the Easter weekend. Next stop on the HSBC FEI classics tour is Kentucky, before riders and horses return to Europe, with the series concluding in Pau in October. Our crew were too busy filming on the day to help Mary or William with the mucking out.

With Royal Wedding fever gripping the nation, Shoot the Company are delighted to announce our latest collaboration with Centrepoint, a film to celebrate the role played by Prince William as their patron. Since 2005 The Prince has been working hard to help Centrepoint end youth homelessness, a charity he was introduced to by his mother and father when he was a boy. We’ve already been hat shopping so we do hope our invitations to The Abbey land on the doormat soon. Click on the photo above to view the film on the Centrepoint website.
