From fish to farmyards, colleagues to communities, Sainsbury’s is committed to ensuring that their business is run in an honest, ethical and sustainable way and they have asked Shoot the Company to tell their story. One of the UK’s leading supermarkets, Sainsbury’s has around 21 million customer transactions every week, 150,000 colleagues and over 2000 suppliers and is therefore ideally placed to make a positive impact on the economy, the environment and society. Shoot the Company are delighted to announce that we are currently in production on another project with Skanska, who this week were announced as The Sunday Times 2011 Best Green Company. This latest collaboration will document Skanska’s commitment to sustainability in London and the South-West and will focus on some of their new landmark buildings in the capital, most of which we can see from our roof terrace here in EC1.
It’s Miller Time!

We’re pretty simple folk here at Shoot the Company; We like beer, we like music and we like travelling and meeting new people – thanks to our lovely new friends at SAB Miller, this summer we’re getting the chance to combine all three. The Miller Music Tour 2011 kicks off in New York City in early July before heading to Miami and finally Destination X. With 200 competition winners from all over the world being flown from destination to destination by private jet, Shoot the Company have been chosen to accompany them to document the sights, sounds and stories of “The Party in the Sky”. Watch this space to find out more as the tour date approaches. Nice cold beer anyone?
Mending Broken Hearts
Posted on May 4th, 2011
We are currently in production on a film about the exciting new collaboration between Lloyds Pharmacy and The British Heart Foundation. Heart disease is the biggest killer of adults in the UK and Lloyds Pharmacy have made a two year commitment to raise funds for the Mending Broken Hearts appeal, which aims to fund groundbreaking scientific research that could begin to literally ‘mend broken hearts’ in as little as ten years time. ‘Healthcare For Life’ is the Lloyds Pharmacy mantra and they certainly seem to be living up to it with the announcement of this heart-warming collaboration.
Horses for Courses

Shoot the Company have been down on the farm recently, filming Olympic hopefuls William Fox-Pitt and Mary King as they prepared for the start of the HSBC FEI classics season at Badminton over the Easter weekend. Next stop on the HSBC FEI classics tour is Kentucky, before riders and horses return to Europe, with the series concluding in Pau in October. Our crew were too busy filming on the day to help Mary or William with the mucking out.
Love is in the air!

With Royal Wedding fever gripping the nation, Shoot the Company are delighted to announce our latest collaboration with Centrepoint, a film to celebrate the role played by Prince William as their patron. Since 2005 The Prince has been working hard to help Centrepoint end youth homelessness, a charity he was introduced to by his mother and father when he was a boy. We’ve already been hat shopping so we do hope our invitations to The Abbey land on the doormat soon. Click on the photo above to view the film on the Centrepoint website.
A date at Downing Street
Posted on March 4th, 2011

To No 10 this week for a filming appointment with The Prime Minister who was lending his support to Climate Week. Shoot the Company have been commissioned to tell the story of the thousands of events being held by businesses, charities, schools, councils and others during Climate Week on 21-27 March 2011. Our film will shine a spotlight on the positive steps already being taken in workplaces and communities across Britain to combat climate change. The power of these real, practical examples – the small improvements and the big innovations – will hopefully then inspire millions more people, so dust off your bicycle, turn off your lights and get stuck in.
Happy 10th Birthday Ready for Work!
Posted on February 16th, 2011

The Ready for Work programme was launched in 2001 as part of the Business Action on Homelessness, to equip vulnerable people with the skills and confidence to re-enter the job market. Our film to mark the anniversary was played today at an event in London, attended by business leaders and HRH Prince Charles. Filmed on location at Barclays, Marks and Spencer and KPMG in Bristol, Ready for Work has helped more than 2000 people into work in the last decade – a very good reason to celebrate with a slice of birthday cake.
B&Q Eco-heroes
Posted on January 21st, 2011
Shoot the Company are pleased to announce our first collaboration with B&Q and have been travelling the length and breadth of the UK, from Barrow-in-Furness to Southampton, to tell the story of the ‘One Planet Home’ competition. Five staff-members have been nominated by their colleagues and chosen as ‘Eco-Heroes’, as B&Q aims to encourage employees to adopt sustainable practices at work and at home. We’ve picked up some invaluable DIY tips during our road trip – right, I’m off to lag my loft and get my heating bills down.
2011 – The Year of the Corporate Video?
Posted on January 13th, 2011

A brilliant article in The Economist recently (well we would say that wouldn’t we!) claiming that 2011 will increasingly see organisations turning from the written word to video to communicate key messages. Now we didn’t commission this article but we’ve always said here at Shoot the Company that authenticity is the key to effective corporate communication, both internally and externally – what better way to achieve this than an intelligently produced, unscripted mini-documentary with real people at its heart. Click on The Economist logo above to read the article and then give us a tinkle if you’re convinced.
