Spring Update

Here’s a shot of multiple Pauls with his beloved Alexa mini making the most of the afternoon light in a sports hall in Holland. We might need even more Pauls soon as 2018 is shaping up to be one of the busiest years ever for Shoot the Company. We’re currently filming in Botswana and have shoots in New York, Chennai, Singapore, Lyon and the Ukraine in the next three weeks. We’ll be spending a lot of our summer filming in Russia and will keep you posted about that project over the coming months. Right, we’re off to check the expiry date on our passports.

International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s day everyone! To celebrate, all of the wonderful women who work at Shoot the Company received a gift on their desk this morning and we also had the pleasure of filming with one of our most inspiring female clients, Ann Cairns, President, International Markets at Mastercard. Ann was keen to discuss topics such as gender pay equity, the empowerment of women and girls and everyone being judged on their contribution rather than their gender. We’re 50/50 female/male employees at Shoot the Company and in terms of their contribution to office tea-making, the males win hands down.

Winter Wonderland

Here are some of the hardier members of the Shoot the Company team getting ready for the start of spring tomorrow outside our office in Old Street. Whilst London is dealing with the polar blast from Siberia, this month we’ve also been braving the cold in Lithuania filming for UEFA and enjoying sunnier climes, filming with FC Barcelona at their training ground for a new client – more on that soon! Snowball fight anyone?

#EqualGame – Slovenia

We’ve all had a mid-winter boost filming the story of Ljubomir, a young footballer from Slovenia who turned his life around after a life changing accident. Helped by his ‘second family’ at NK Maribor, Ljubomir’s remarkable positivity has led him to a motivational new role in football.

Abubacarr still

A trip to Sicily for Shoot the Company to start 2018 with the inspiring story of Abubacarr, a 16 year old from The Gambia who bravely endured a harrowing journey across Africa in search of a better life in Italy. A talented footballer, Abubacarr is helped by a local organisation set up to assist refugees and asylum seekers which is supported by the Italian FA (FIGC). Football is a major part of Abubacarr’s integration into European life and as he’s a big fan of Xabi Alonso, perhaps one day he will follow his idol and play for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Liverpool.

MSC Cruises

MSC Seaside

It’s a little chilly in London EC2 at the moment, so the thought of going on a Christmas cruise in the Caribbean aboard the new MSC Seaside is a very attractive prospect. Shoot the Company headed out to Italy recently to film aboard the new ship as it floated out of the shipyard for the first time and the naming ceremony takes place in Miami on 22nd December before she heads off on her maiden voyage. At over 300 metres long, with 17 passenger decks and a custom-designed multi-story aqua park, the 5,179 passengers are all going to have a very warm and luxurious Christmas on board.
