UEFA #RealScars
UEFA
The #RealScars campaign is the latest collaboration between UEFA and Shoot the Company, highlighting the continuing issue of Online Abuse in football.

Launched ahead of the 2022 Women’s EURO the campaign film features stars of the game who have all experienced online abuse and illustrates the lasting damage it can cause. The campaign spot is also supported by a short documentary film on online abuse, released by UEFA and Shoot the Company as the latest instalment in the award-winning OUTRAGED series which tackles discrimination in football.

With such a distinctive look and feel, maintaining consistency in our footage with different crews across a variety of countries was never going to be easy. Throw in the ever-narrowing windows of filming opportunities in the shifting schedules of elite football players before they headed off for end of season holidays or national duty…you’ve got a tricky puzzle on your hands. But a genuinely good cause can go a very long way. Thanks to the buy in of clubs and national associations, along with eager players, and of course a highly reactive production team, we produced a campaign film to be proud of that we hope will help make some positive change in football.
